Step 1: Preheating
The preheated flame of an oxygen fuel torch is used to heat the steel to its ignition temperature, about 1800 degrees.Then it can react with oxygen.
During this process, the fuel-oxygen ratio can be adjusted. This will help to produce the highest possible temperature with as little flame as possible.This increases control, and heat can be concentrated on a small area of the steel plate surface.
Step 2: Punch
The piercing refers only to the initial piercing of the cut surface; once the surface or edge of the plate reaches the ignition temperature, the oxygen will start to flow and start to penetrate the plate.
Step 3: Cut
After cutting the oxygen stream through the steel plate, the torch can begin to move at a constant speed. This leads to continuous cuts.
