2. Cutting Thickness
Each plasma cutting machine is designed to handle a specific range of cutting thicknesses. Low-power plasma machines are ideal for cutting thinner sheets, while excessive power can be inefficient for this task. For example, plasma machines with 40-60A power are typically used for cutting steel plates under 10mm thick, while 100-120A machines are suited for plates up to 20mm. For steel plates thicker than 20mm, machines with 200A power are generally required.

 

3. Cutting Materials
Plasma cutting is highly effective for cutting stainless steel and other alloy materials, while carbon steel plates are better suited for flame cutting.
