Why CNC plasma cutters can't cut thick plates

Why CNC plasma cutters can't cut thick plates?

Numerically controlled plasma cutters are powerful weapons to increase productivity, which is the premise of its competition. As a CNC plasma cutting machine manufacturer, it has a wide range of applications and broad market space. For users, especially some processing and manufacturing enterprises, in the face of more than 6mm of copper, aluminum, stainless steel and other different materials, the use of 63A below the CNC plasma cutting machine seems to have sufficient power, and can not be perfect to achieve multi-purpose cutting.

Compared with the family, more than 100A CNC plasma cutting machine input costs are too large, which is a small burden for many enterprises. Why is this happening in the user experience, which indicates that the CNC plasma cutting machine in cutting high reflectivity materials and thick plate technology there are some defects, technical bottlenecks, what are the factors?

The CNC plasma cutter uses an air plasma generator as the plasma cutting source. Due to wavelength limitations, it is a highly reflective material, such as copper and aluminum (a material that does not easily absorb the wavelengths of CNC plasma cutters). Damage plasma generator will become a thick plate, even can not be cut for a long time high-reflection material, will also reduce the overall performance of CNC plasma cutting machine.

Why can't some materials that absorb NC plasma wavelengths (e.g. stainless steel and carbon steel) cut thick plates? There are two main reasons:

    1. The tip temperature is low. The auxiliary oxygen ejected from the nozzle has a cooling effect on the cutting crack, prevents the cutting crack deformation and affects the workpiece, and also affects the cutting front temperature, making it impossible to melt the thicker steel plate, can not be cut, or cut deformation.

    2. Auxiliary gas oxygen also supports combustion. During the cutting process, the workpiece reacts with oxygen to form an oxide ferrous layer that covers the surface of the workpiece, thus preventing the diffusion of oxygen and preventing oxygen on the cutting surface. The concentration of the will cause the cutting and burning points to suddenly go out and not cut, so the thick plate cannot be processed.
