How the flame cutter works

     Flame cutting is the oldest method of thermal cutting, with cutting metal thicknesses from 1 mm to 1.2 m, but when you need to cut the vast majority of low carbon steel plate thickness of less than 20 mm, other cutting methods should be used.

    Flame cutting is the use of iron oxide combustion process generated by the high temperature to cut carbon steel, flame torch design for the combustion of iron oxide provides sufficient oxygen to ensure good cutting results.

    Flame cutting equipment is low cost and is the only cost-effective means of cutting thick metal plates, but there are shortcomings in sheet cutting. Compared with plasma, the thermal influence area of flame cutting is much bigger, and the thermal deformation is relatively large. In order to cut accurately and effectively, operators need to have superior skills in order to avoid the thermal deformation of the metal plate in a timely manner during the cutting process.
