Plasma arc cutting is versatile and effective for cutting various metal materials, including stainless steel, high-alloy steel, cast iron, aluminum, and their alloys. The cuts are narrow, smooth, and straight, with quality comparable to precision gas cutting. Plasma cutting also offers faster speeds and a broader range of materials compared to gas cutting.

Three Types of Plasma Cutting for Metal:

Low-Current Plasma Arc Cutting (70–100 A)
Ideal for manual cutting, casting grooving, and drilling on thin sheets (5–25 mm).

High-Current Plasma Arc Cutting (100–200 A or more)
Suitable for mechanized or template cutting of thicker materials (12–100 mm).

Water Plasma Arc Cutting
This method uses a high current with a torch equipped with a water spray nozzle, reducing dust and noise while improving the quality of the cut.
